Seniors "Green Dessert Day"
The Senior Citizen Commission will be hosting a "Green Dessert Day" at the Community Center on this date at noon. Please bring a green dessert to share. MaryJane Kostyshak, the Town and County Tax Collector, will be speaking to us. Reservations are necessary, so please call Prudy at 723-7232 by March 15.

VFW Pancake Breakfast
The Town of Binghamton VFW Post 1611 is sponsoring an "All-You-Can-Eat" Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, March 28 from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the Town of Binghamton Community Center, located at 1905 Coleman Rd. You can purchase tickets at the door. The cost is $5 for adults or $3 for children ages 3 to 12. (Children under 3 are free.)

Easter Egg Hunt
The 9th Annual Town of Binghamton Easter Egg Hunt will be held at the Town of Binghamton Community Center at 1905 Coleman Road on Saturday, April 3, 2010. The Easter Bunny, along with some of his animal friends from the farm, will arrive at noon, with a magician arriving at 12:30. The actual Easter Egg Hunt will begin at 1 p.m. For a $2 registration fee, each child will be able to find one dozen prize filled eggs, get a chocolate bunny, and have his/her picture taken with the Easter Bunny! Bus Trip to Sight & Sound in Lancaster, PA - "Joseph"
The Town of Binghamton Senior Citizen Commission has organized a bus trip to Lancaster, PA, on Tuesday, April 13 to the Sight and Sound production of "Joseph". The cost is $110 per person and includes bus ticket, theater ticket, dinner, and dinner tip. Dinner will be at the "Shady Maple" at 5:15 p.m. More details (including departure times) will be available at a later date.

Girl Scout's Host Spaghetti Dinner
The Girl Scouts will be hosting a Spaghetti Dinner on this date at the Town of Binghamton Community Center from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. While there is no monetary cost for this dinner, you are asked to bring food donations for CHOW OR items to be donated to a local animal shelter. Girl Scout cookies will be for sale at this event.

Tire Clean Up
The Town of Binghamton, in conjunction with the Broome County Division of Solid Waste, will be sponsoring a "Tire Clean Up" once again this year. There is a limit of 6 tires per household, and proof of residency is required. (Tires with rims will be accepted, but no tires over 17".) ABSOLUTELY NO TRUCK TIRES.
The "Clean Up" will be held on the following days:
Monday, May 10 from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Tuesday, May 11 from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Weds., May 12 from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Tires need to be dropped off at the old Town landfill, located on Hance Road. The landfill is located 1.9 miles from Hawleyton Road. If you are handicapped or elderly and are unable to drop your tires off, please call Nick at 772-0357, ext. 16 to arrange a time for a pickup. Help keep our town clean by properly disposing of unwanted tires. We sincerely appreciate your help.

Rabies Clinic - THE ONLY ONE THIS YEAR
We will be holding a Rabies Clinic for small animals on this date from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. (Please note the time.) This will take place at the Town of Binghamton Highway Garage, located at 865 Hawleyton Road. A $5 donation is requested for each dog or cat.

Memorial Day Parade
The Annual Memorial Day Parade will take place on Monday, May 31 at 10 a.m. (tentatively) at the Fire Station in "downtown" Hawleyton and will proceed to the Grange. What a great way to begin the summer!

FREE Fishing Days
Did you know that you can fish for FREE in any New York State waters on the weekend of June 26th and June 27th? No license is required during this weekend, so GO FISH!
